200 CLUB

We currently have 64 members which is a slight increase from last year, but still a little way off the 77 that we previously had. This is partly due to members passing away, but it is mainly due to people making a one-off payment last year. Please do consider renewing your membership for this year too or, better still, set up a standing order going forward.

Many thanks to Pam Rumney for designing and distributing our on-line form, which we hope provides an easy sign-up option (details below).

We currently have a total of £1573.33 in the bank. The reason for the small amounts we currently have at our disposal is due to a donation of £3,000 to the school library, which is now open, and £500 to the school’s Eco-club.

By taking part it gives you the chance of winning a top Prize of £200 and also helps the school and the Society.

All money raised goes towards supporting the school and the St Beghian Society. Over the years a variety of projects and clubs have benefited within the school by the purchase of such things as canoes and a canoe trailer, a donation to the Car Kit Club, assistance with sports kit and sports tours, the library and also the development of the ecology pond.

Recently, the 200 Club has donated £500 to the school Eco Club and £3,000 to the library refurbishment and reopening. These contributions were very much appreciated by both the school and the students, who greatly benefit from these activities and facilities.

For just £2 a month or £24 a year you are entered into one draw a year, and the more members we have, the bigger and more prizes there are. Remember, it is possible to have more than one number in the draw – and hence potentially to win more than one prize! For information, last June’s winners are posted below.
